Review: Amsiln Studio coworking space Tamraght
As a writer, resident in Tamraght since 2018, I’ve worked in most of the cafés and coworking spaces Tamraght and Taghazout have to offer. It was an honour (and relief) to be invited to experience Amsiln Studio recently, to know that when I need to focus and be in a productive environment, there’s a professional space ready and waiting. Read on for a full review of coworking at Amsiln Studio.
What is Amsiln Studio?
A professional content-creating studio and dedicated coworking Tamraght space. There are currently (in July 2026) two main areas, although open-plan.
The co-working space is focused on desk space and facilities for co-workers; the other is a studio set up with professional lighting, microphones and backgrounds, perfect for photo and video shoots, podcasts and video recordings. People use it as a place to practice podcast recordings too.
In the co-working office, there is a choice of seating (ergonomic chairs, sofas with cushions, high stools) and desks (some individual, some shared tables, some adjustable in height). There are also two small booths for calls with a desk, bookable via an app. Quirky additions to spark creativity include glass windows that can be scribbled on and colourful, comfy seating to break out with colleagues.
Who’s Amsiln Studio coworking space for?
For digital nomads, freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, creatives living and travelling through Tamraght, Taghazout, and Morocco in general. For people who work online, tell stories and are building brands. If you’re looking for a place to surf and work, it’s unbeatable. Dreaming of remote work in a Morocco surf town? Amsiln is a great space for creative minds to meet, work on projects, or find someone to collaborate with. If you are looking for a quiet Tamraght coworking space to focus on laptop work, it’s perfect. If you are a digital nomad after fast wifi, Tamraght’s wifi speed is fast here!
How many coworkers can it accommodate?
Ideally, ten people in the co-working office, to retain focus and quiet, and so everyone has space.
What’s the coworking space set up?
Light, airy, with windows that allow the ocean breeze to pass through and a good amount of natural light. Simple, minimalist decor, white walls, concrete grey floor. Moroccan rugs, checked cushions, plants, prints and tilework.
Fast 5G wifi, stable internet. Plenty of plug points, charging stations and a printer.
Calm, focused and productive atmosphere. It really is a great place to work!
There are plans for air con; that said, I visited in July, and it was fine just with the cool Atlantic breeze flowing with windows open.
There’s a small kitchenette area in the coworking studio space, with complimentary filter coffee, teas, and filtered water. If you prefer other coffee, popular Tamraght coffee shop Hey Yallah is across the street. There’s a toilet, away from the main areas.
How much does Amsiln Studio coworking cost?
Prices are MAD150/ for a cowork day pass, which is designed to attract serious workers who value the focus and professional set-up of the coworking space. (Surf + Friends and Manzili are nearby if you are just logging on for a few hours, and after the best cafés to work from Tamraght. And nearby, Kasbari offers coliving Tamraght).
Buy blocks of 10-day co-working passes for MAD700; they can be used anytime within 3 months.
Monthly passes for MAD1500, unlimited access (as in come in and work anytime, any day, 24/7)
Dedicated desk monthly pass for MAD2000, unlimited access (as in come in and work anytime, any day, 24/7).
Where is Amsiln Studio located?
Tucked away in a quiet courtyard on one of the main (still a tiny street) thoroughfares in Upper Tamraght. They’ve converted the top floor and two roof terraces of one of the tallest houses in Tamraght, so the views, especially on the rooftop (which can be used for chats/ chilling), are spectacular. Apparently the original owner wanted to be able to keep an eye on his boats at Devils Rock, which means, yes, you can check the waves in Tamraght and Taghazout from there. Follow their handy photo journey directions; otherwise, rather than arriving at a Tamraght coworking space you’ll be having tea (or hanging laundry) with their neighbours!
Who created Amsiln Studio?
Med Lebsat (photographer and videographer) and Martina Thurnler (business strategist) came up with the idea of a Tamraght coworking space based on their travels (including Europe and Bali) and experiences of working professionally in the area. A dream team: creative, dynamic, professional, hardworking and calm. Med offers photo and video shoots. Martina offers business strategy and personal branding packages. They created Amsiln Studio having seen a need for a space built for creativity in Tamraght, and a real co-working space that caters to digital nomad Morocco.
Be part of a community
Working at Amsiln Studio introduces you to the Tamraght Business Community; their weekly business meet-ups are held there, currently on Saturday mornings. In addition to the Tamraght Business Community, Amsiln Studio also hosts small business and branding workshops, creative sessions, meet-ups, and talks. It’s a great place to meet local businesspeople and digital nomads and build connections. They have an Amsiln Studio WhatsApp group, which is a handy way of staying in the loop on the meet-ups/community.
Conclusion
Co-owner/Founder, Amsiln Studio, Tamraght Coworking, Med Lebsat explained to me that in Amazigh, ‘amsiln’ means connected to stories, reflections, and voices; indeed, everything feels as if it has been created with intention and meaning there.
I love the calm focus and professional set-up; everything you need, and really thought out. Easygoing vibe, and the staff are on hand to help with anything, accessible and flexible!
